Step 1
Turn on power to the recorder and cameras.
Step 2
The first window that will pop up on your screen in front of the live video channel wall is the starting point for the setup ‘Guide’. Click ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 3
The ‘SYSTEM LOGIN’ window will appear, make sure the ‘User Name’ section displays ‘admin’, and leave the ‘Password’ section blank. Click ‘OK’ to continue.
Step 4
The next window that appears will be the ‘Time - Language Configuration’ options. Here you can set the correct date & time, and display them in the way that you prefer.
You can also set the year’s Daylight Savings Time (DST) and also the language the recorder’s interface is set to. Click ‘Next ’ to continue.
Step 5
The recorder will now perform a network test to see if you have correctly connected your recorder
to the local network or the Internet. If the network connection is a success then the ‘Network Test’ window will display: You devices have connected to the network properly.
However, if the ‘Network Test’ window displays: Test Gateway ...ERR
...it will mean a network connection could not be made. If this happens click on ‘Network’, and you will be shown the ‘Network ’ configuration options. Click on the ‘DHCP Enable’ tick box to automatically setup your network options, and then click ‘OK ‘ to confirm.
Restart the recorder for settings to take effect. Repeat steps 1 - 5 again and retest network connection. If the network test was a success; click ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 6
The next part to the ‘Guide’ will display another window called ‘Install mobile app ’ with QR code links to download the ‘Explorer P2P ’ app, so you can connect to your CCTV system remotely. Click ‘Next’ to continue.
Step 7
Open app once it has been downloaded and installed. It will show you the login screen.
Select the ‘Register’ button and register a cloud connection account by filling in your details to the
required information boxes. Select ‘OK’ when completed. You will get a confirmation message saying registration is successful, use your username and password to login to your account, then select ‘Cloud Login’.
Step 8
The ‘Device List’ screen will be shown next. Select the + symbol on the top right of the screen to setup your device with the app.
Step 9
The ‘Add Device’ screen will appear, provide a reference name for your device in the ‘Device Name’ section, then select the QR code symbol. Scan the recorder’s unique serial number (SN) within the Guides ‘Add Devices’ section.
Select ‘OK’ within the ‘Add Device’ setup on the app to save device.
